How to Make a Dunkin Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher at Home (No Sugar, No Caffeine)

You know the pink refresher everyone is loving at the Dunkin right now. Sweet, fruity, and cold enough to fix a warm afternoon. I get the appeal.

Here's the thing. You can make a version of it right in your own kitchen, with no added sugar and no caffeine. That means you can have one at 3pm or 9pm and still sleep just fine.

It takes two of our teas, some cold water, and one night in the fridge. Here's how to make a dupe Dunkin Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher at home.

What you'll need

Both blends are caffeine-free and full of real fruit. Strawberry Immunity brings the berry, and Dragonfruit Desire brings that soft, sunny sweetness. The hibiscus in Strawberry Immunity is what gives you that pretty red color.

How to make it (Cold Brew)

  1. Add both teaspoons of loose leaf tea to a vessel.
  2. Pour in 10 oz of cold water.
  3. Put the lid on and refrigerate overnight, about 8 to 12 hours.
  4. In the morning, strain out the leaves and pour over a tall glass of ice.

Cold brewing is the secret here. It coaxes the fruit flavor out slowly, so every cup comes out smooth, never bitter.

Want it tart? Add lemonade.

For a brighter, tangier cup, stir in a splash of lemonade after you strain your tea. Our Old Fashioned Lemonade Mix does the job nicely. One heads-up: the lemonade adds a little sweetness, so this version won't be sugar-free like the base - and won't have that lovely red color. It's the one I reach for on the hottest days, when I want some real pucker.

Make it your own

Want the good vibes from the green tea? Swap the Strawberry Immunity for our Tropical Vacation Green Tea. It swaps some of the berry for coconut and a hint of pineapple, with a soft creamy finish - it's a difficult profile, but very satisfying. Just know that Tropical Vacation is a green tea, so this version adds a little caffeine - and you'll lose a lot of that pink color. Still light, still easy to drink all day.

Keep a jar going all summer

Once you land on your favorite version, this one earns a permanent spot in the fridge. Fill a jar before bed, and tomorrow's refresher is ready before you are.
